Jali is the village and land on the western most part of Busi Island. This small island, which is close to the equator on the Northern side of Lake Victoria is about an hour's drive from Entebbe Airport and then a short boat ride to the island itself. About 300 people live in Jali itself and unsually they have been given permission not only to stay but to harvest the fruit grown in and around the village. There are no cars on the island as it is only about 10 miles in length and bicycles are all that are needed to transport fruit to the mainland boat.
